Opportunities to learn more about music
A musical centre for all
Musicians who come to play at St Giles for the first time regularly comment on the uniqueness of the space and the warm welcome they always receive. As well as a place of worship the church, crypt and the other buildings which form St Giles are being used more than ever before to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about music.
We intend to expand the availability of musical education at St Giles in the future and hope that the church and its resources continue to be used for concerts, workshops and instrument tuition - serving both the local community in Camberwell and the wider region of South London.
Instrument & Vocal Lessons
Learning an instrument is an incredibly rewarding experience. Individual lessons are taught by professional musicians who visit the church weekly / fortnightly at a cost of around £12-16 per half hour. Discounts are available and scholarships are offered to St Giles' Choir members.

School Visits
St Giles has excellent links with local schools and school visits are warmly welcomed. The church organ is a fascinating musical instrument and can be used to explain key musical concepts throughout all key stages of music in the national curriculum.
