Having fun whilst learning musical skills

Camberwell Choir School is a music project with charitable status. It was set up in 1990 and is aimed at children and young people aged 0-18.
The choir school's emphasis is on having fun whilst learning musical skills - singing, playing and listening - in order to perform in public. A wide range of music is explored. Whilst there are no auditions, a high level of musical excellence is achieved by using minimal discipline and praising children at every opportunity.
Although St Giles supports Camberwell Choir School, children and families of all faiths (and none) are welcome. Depending on age, sessions are held at different times throughout the day on Saturdays in term time. The cost per child per week is just £1.
