A choir for Camberwell
Come and join in!
Rehearsals last for around 2 hours which includes a refreshments break and a chance to catch up with other choir members!
The choir has been set up for anyone who enjoys singing, regardless of your musical experience. Some of our members hadn't sung since being at school! Even if you think you can't sing, the rehearsals are led by experienced musicians who know how to get the best out of your voice.
Since the choir began, members have sung at a range of events around Camberwell including at the SE5 Forum party, the Camberwell Society party and at the Camberwell Green Farmer's market. Recently, we sang Christmas carols at 'Carols 'round Camberwell' which raised over £200 for the charity Age UK.
How do I join?
It's easy!
Come along to a Tuesday evening rehearsal and say hello - you will be made to feel welcome. There's no pressure to sing right away - you might just want to listen to the music or have a chat with other choir members. If you do enjoy yourself and find yourself coming to rehearsals on a regular basis, sign up on a contact sheet and join in the fun!
How much is it?
To cover our costs, we ask each choir member to pay £3 per rehearsal they attend. If you are attending for the first time, the first rehearsal is free of charge.
