Founded in 2008 by Patrick Allies, the vocal ensemble Siglo de Oro has rapidly gained a reputation for vibrant performances of early music.

The group's purpose is to bring to life the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, presenting exciting interpretations of celebrated works from this period as well as shedding light on previously neglected repertoire. Since its inception the group has given concerts in London and the South of England to great acclaim. The singers are drawn from a variety of backgrounds, with most studying at institutions such as as King's college London, Cambridge University, The Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.
